SMSžvalgas is Lithuanian RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) artificial intelligence tool designed to identify and analyze potentially dangerous SMS messages that could be used for fraudulent purposes.

Users have the opportunity to upload a screenshot of the SMS message from their device, which is then analyzed in the following stages:

• Data (text, sender information, time, links, etc.) is extracted from the screenshot;
• The context of the SMS text is compared with the internal database of SMSžvalgas;
• If there are links in the SMS message, it is checked whether their domains are indexed in search engines (unindexed sites may be used for phishing attacks);
• Links are also checked to see if they belong to URL shortening services (such links may indicate a higher risk of phishing attacks);
• The domains of the links are checked against a "whitelist" which includes websites of service providers most commonly used in phishing attacks in Lithuania;

The obtained data is submitted to the AI model, which evaluates data and makes conclusions. The model determines the level of risk (very low, low, medium, high, very high) and provides arguments for its conclusions.
